How to upgrade to 4.2 on iPhone iPod Touch and iPad

Here are some simple instrutions for updating to 4.2
I did have problems trying to update, but the problem seems like its my problem. So I will share will you the links and instuctions, but please remember, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! If you brick your device, It is your problem.

As I write this, I just tried to update but do to some problems, I had to go back and install 4.1
Please be sure to have this software before starting your update. You might need it to kick your device out of recovery mode.

Now for 4.2, you must install iTunes 10.1 beta, the links for all what you need are below.

iTunes 10.1 beta Mac OSX

iTunes 10.1 beta Windows x86

iTunes 10.1 beta Windows x64

iPad iOS 4.2 beta 2

iPhone 4 iOS 4.2 beta 2

iPhone 3GS iOS 4.2 beta 2

iPod touch 2g iOS 4.2 beta 2

There you have it. Now remember that if you have any problems just go back to iTunes and click restore and it will bring you back down to 4.1.

How to enable multitasking on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G on iOS 4.1

Here is how to enable multitasking on your iPhone or iPod on iOS 4.1

Follow these instructions or check out my youtube video!

1. Go to cydia

2. Go to search tab

3. Type "enable"

4. Tap the one that says "Enable Multitasking and...."

5. Install it

6. Click home button

7. Go to settings and tap "Activator"

8. Then "anywhere"

9. Then tap "double press"

10. Exit to settings, and you are done! Enjoy!

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 GREENPOSI0N iPHONE 4 IPOD TOUCH 4!

So the news we all have been waiting for is finally here....The jailbreak for iOS 4.1 on the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 is coming Sunday. Question is when Sunday?

Well I think it is a interesting idea....and easy for us to remember. It is coming out to the public on October 10, 2010 at 10:10:10AM GMT. So set your watches and be prepared to wait a good while because the servers a likely to jam. Stay tuned for updates via twitter. I will be updating often.

I have a iPhone 4!

So here I am writing my first post from my new iPhone 4!
Well yesterday I worked all day on trying to find a jailbreak for a iphone 3GS on 4.0.2 well it is not possible for the moment so I tried to downgrade but I didn't have a shsh file back up on cydia. So I decided to make a back up for my iPhone in case I happen to update. However there is a jailbreak out for 4.0.2 on the iphone 3G and iPod touch 2g. I might make a video later tonight on it!

iPhone 4 users....I have one too now!

Well what better way to start off a post then, sorry but it has been a while.

Well it has and I have been busy working on jailbreaks working a day job and trying to stay up with everything.

I thought I will start by talking about what happened since sunday.

On Sunday I went to the Rogers and got a plan for a iPhone 3G but on Monday Fido offered me a GREAT deal to stay with them. So I was able to get everything I needed and more for MUCH less then I thought I was going to have to pay. I was able to get 6GB's of data per month along with my daily needs of a phone. So right now as I write this, I have a video uploading to YouTube that I recorded, edited, and exported in 720p HD. So now all I have to do is make sure that I set pixelpipe to upload to YouTube. Hello again

Hey everyone!
I'm writing this in my Air conditioned house, Yes in the Montreal area it has been very hot and I couldn't do much work.
So today I got back from working and started to check up on the latest iPhone news and heard that there is going to be a jailbreak coming out tomorrow. However there is certain ways it has to be installed so don't get too exited about it.

Also I didn't do my Wednesday video, I can't do it tonight so I will do it tomorrow and and it will be for Wednesday and Saturday. I'm sorry about this but I was without internet on my laptop for the past few days.

Hello....I'm back??

Hello everyone and it's been a very long time since I was on here.
Well I will start with i cut my iPhone service in April and no longer would remember to post on my blog. I had exams and had to study, so the only time I would be on here would be on the bus, but I didn't have my iPhone so I couldn't!
So here I am back with some new news for you guys and I hope to start blogging again!

Limera1n, Coming soon!!

So today as I was looking for more out about limera1n, (the jailbreak for all devices that Geo Hot is making for the end of may) I found the the site has been made. www.limera1n.com But it is just the logo on it. So he is working on it, but we have to wait for it to come out. I know we are all exited, because right now the iPad, iPhone 3gs, and the iPod touch 3g cannot be jailbroken at the moment. Unless you have a iphone 3gs on 3.1.2 I have heard that some people have jailbroken the iPod 3g and the iPhone 3gs, but as much as i have tired for the iPod 3g, I have had not success on it.

So for the meantime, just wait, and as soon as it comes out, I'll be sure to do a video on it.

It's been a while

Yes so I know it's been a while since I posted on here....so there has been a lot of new things going on since I posted last....so I'm going to go over that now.

So first was apple's OS for the iPhone beta released!! Ok there has been links going around but please listen and don't download the software....wait until the real version comes out in June or July.

Next there has been photos going around the web saying that they found a iPhone 4g. Well yes they did, and yesterday apple said that the "iPhone" was stolen from them in February. So maybe apple changed the phone since one of there demo ideas was stolen, we will not know until the it is released or announced that it is going to be released, and the date! Some people have said that the date is June 22, 2010 but I'm not sure if that has been verified yet, when it is I'll be sure to tweet or post something on that.

Also there is GeoHot working on the jailbreak for the iPad, rumors have it that he is waiting for the iPad3g model to come out before releasing it... I mean by 3g model, the one that works on the GSM netward for data.

Next up is that there greenpois0n that we are still waiting on, so hold tight, it should be out soon!

iPad not released in Canada?

So I came to the apple store to see the iPad because it was suppose to be released today, but the guy who told me it was suppose to be released both in Canada and US was wrong, it only came out in US stores today! So if you live in the US and near an apple store, go see one!!

Remember that The Dev Team is working on a jailbreak for the iPad, so please donate to them so they can get the iPad and jailbreak it.

So when will the jailbreak be available to the iPad?
Well the iPad is going to need a untethered jailbreak such as the iPod 3g 8gb.

Unlock for iPhone 2 and 3g 3.1.3

So is there really a jailbreak and unlock that just got released for the iPhone 2g and 3g 3.1.3? Well it's called bluera1n, but does it really work?
Well you have to buy it, and it's not cheap, it's $24.99. Well as i have said before, NEVER PAY FOR A UNLOCK OR JAILBREAK!!! You could be throwing your money away.

If you bought it already, please let me know if it worked.

So today as I was looking through the iPhone and iPod news today, I found that the Dev Team is working on a jailbreak for the iPod touch 3.1.3! Yes it should be finaly coming out!! So I will do a video as soon as it comes out on how to do it. It is suppose to be similar to Geo Hot's blackra1n! So it should be pretty easy to do!

How to Jailbreak iPhone 3gs 3.1.3

So to jailbreak the iphone 3gs on 3.1.3, is there really a way? Well according to a few people sn0wbreeze works if you have a pc. If you have a mac like me, too bad it won't work. Now do i trust this jailbreak for the 3gs? I would if the videos I saw showed it, but they didn't. So if your plan is to buy a 3gs and jailbreak it, don't! because it won't work unless you have a pc and sn0wbreeze. but like I said, I dont really know if it works.
So if it does, leave a comment and let me know.

Potholes, can there be less of them? Sure with you iPhone!!

So I got bored this evening and I know I already posted something but this is something that alot of people I'm sure want to see!! So what is it? It's the idea of having an app for large cities such as Montreal, New York City, or Boston, that enables you to report pot holes!

So let's first look at what creats the potholes. This time of year is the pothole season, why? It's because as the weather gets warm, the roads expand and the water fills them, then as cars go by, it breaks the ground and causes the potholes! So what is this app going to be for? You can report the potholes you see as you drive, bike or walk down a road. Well it seems like there is alot of apps being talked about for cities 311 services, why not just have a number to text??

Multiple tasks on the iPhone??

So as we get closer to the reless of the 4 gen iPhone, we have more ideas for it, what's out today is: Multitasking!!

Yes in a way the iPhone can multitask, such as you can go into apps while in a call, you can browse apps and such. When you are listening to music, you can do almost everything, but make calls. So what am I looking for? I'm looking for a faster iPhone to be able to minimze apps and keep them running. It seems to me that when you close a apps that stays running, such as the app whatsapp messenger. If I go out of it and someone replys, the app has to reload! It would be nice if it could have the app already loaded!

311 service for iPhone!!!

So today as I was looking through the iPhone news and I found that there is talk of a 311 service app for the iPhone. The service would be in Vancouver city. The app will work on gps an you can attach photos and send it to the 311 service. Well this might be something that more cities should look into. The only thing is for blackberry users. Yes I know I'm not much of a blackberry fan, but there still are alot if people that have them. So there should be some app for that.

iPhone going to over take the Blackberry?

So today as I'm looking through the iPhone news I find this artical about the iPhone will over take the blackberry in a little while!! Well that might be some good news, but here is the downfall.

The iPhone veiws full webpages and mobile, and it uses more bandwidth then the blackberry. For example, my sister used about 30mbs of bandwidth her first month with a blackberry, and it doesn't connect to wifi. My first month with my iPhone, I used about 140mbs and I was connected to wifi most of the time. What I'm I saying? The iPhone uses much more bandwidth and is creating a netwark jam for the providers. So why are we paying so much on our plans! Well the providers need to upgrade their servers to take on the iPhone. This is the reason that there was talk about AT&T dropping the iPhone from their netwark. T-Mobile has the iPhone if it's jailbroken and unlocked. So here is my point, the providers need to have cheaper plans and need to update their severs.

iPhone 4g comes out when?

So more and more news is coming out about the iPhone 4g, but until its relessed date which has yet to been officaly set, there are many rumors about it.
So lets start with what i what to see on it.

1. Flash ( to be able to watch movies and live streams)
2. A 4.0 firmware with a better maps and youtube app.
3. Faster speeds with everything on it.
4. A 5.0 megapixel video and photo camera
5. Video calls
6. Better video quality
7. Push updates on wifi the same as on 3g
8. Louder ringer and louder call volume
9. A built in messaging app for iPhones and iPod touches. (like blackberry messanger)
10. Built in GPS app like a tomtom.

There are my 10 things I want to see on the iPhone 4g.
It is guessed to be coming out in June, but I guess we will find out the date as we get closer.

How to Jailbreak iPhone 3g on a mac

So last night I uploaded a few videos, it took me a few hours to do, but now they are up for you!
I re uploaded my jailbreak for the iPhone 3g because the audio was too low.
So please go check out the video, it is the only jailbreak I have found so far for the iPhone 3g that works on a mac. And this also works on a PC computer, i don't even have to make one for PC because it is the same!
